Cutting military support to Kiev 'equivalent to death sentence': Russia

Outgoing President Joe Biden has decided to send another $725 million in weapons to Ukraine before leaving the White House. He has been a staunch supporter of Kiev against Russia from the beginning. But the time ahead may be different. Because newly elected President Donald Trump is not very interested in the Ukraine war.

If the Trump administration decides to reduce support for Kiev, it will be “equivalent to a death sentence” for the Ukrainian army, said Dmitry Polyansky, Russia’s deputy ambassador to the United Nations. This was reported by Indian media NDTV in a report on Thursday (November 28).

Polyansky told the UN Security Council, “Trump’s threat to reduce military aid to Ukraine is practically a death warrant for the country’s army. It is becoming clear that Trump and his team will review the aid provided to Kiev.”
He alleged that the Biden administration is trying to create chaos by increasing support for Ukraine. And Kiev is trying to drag NATO countries into a direct conflict with Russia.

Trump's transition team did not immediately comment on Polyansky's comments.
